What does the Dietitian do?
Our Dietitian will work with you to:
Conduct a formal nutrition assessment
Provide nutrition information
Develop and deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy
Counsel and educate carers on dietary recommendations
Provide tips on food safety at home
Provide tips for meeting nutritional needs on a budget
Liaise with other health and community services
Budgeting, grocery shopping & cooking.

Katie Rae
Our Senior Dietitian Katie is a seasoned professional dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals through personalised dietary interventions. Graduating with Honors from University of Newcastle with a degree in Nutrition & Dietetics, Katie has since garnered a reputation for her expertise in evidence-based practice, tailored to meet each of her client's unique needs and goals. Her holistic and comprehensive approach combines the latest research findings with practical dietary strategies, empowering clients to make sustainable lifestyle changes for long-term health benefits. With a deep commitment to inclusivity, Katie recognises and celebrates neurodiversity, understanding that each individual's relationship with food and nutrition is unique.
Beyond her extensive experience delivering community-based support to some of our communities most vulnerable populations, Katie is known for her compassionate demeanor and unwavering commitment to client-centered care. She possesses exceptional communication skills, adept at translating complex nutritional concepts into accessible guidance that resonates with diverse audiences. Katie firmly believes in fostering a supportive environment where individuals feel empowered to take control of their health journey
